Post*factua!ly believes that electronic privacy is crucial for your peace of mind and thus our success. This Privacy Policy explains what, if any, information we collect about you, how and why we collect it, and how we use that information.

We only collect information from you in three ways: physical postcard submissions; digital postcard submissions, and our comment and feedback contact forms. We classify any information gathered by these means from our readers into two types, Personal Information and Non-Personal Information.

Personal Information

“Personal Information” refers to personally identifiable information about you. This includes your full name, email address or mailing address and any other information that can be used to identify or contact you. We do not require any Personal Information from you in order for you to use Post*factua!ly in its entirety or any of its related media properties. For instance, Post*factua!ly does not require a member account or any log-in credentials for your to use Post*factua!ly.

Post*factua!ly may use the Personal Data to contact you if you voluntarily subscribed to the Post*factua!ly community newsletter. Post*factua!ly may contact you for various reasons, including sending you an update about new content and/or services on Post*factua!ly website, notifying you about upcoming online or physical events, offering you additional products, and requesting your comments, feedback and ideas about Post*factua!ly. Post*factua!ly intends to launch a Post*factua!ly online store to market and sell Post*factua!ly related merchandise. In order to complete a sales transaction at the Post*factua!ly store you will be required to enter Personal Data, such as full name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and credit card information. If you enter Personal Data to complete a purchase at Post*factua!ly store, that Personal Data will be used exclusively to complete your purchase and contact you with any questions related to that purchase.

The only Personal Data that Post*factua!ly currently collects or plans to collect through the Post*factua!ly, and any related media properties, is the Personal Data that you voluntarily provide to Post*factua!ly.



Non-Personal Information

“Non-Personal Information” refers to other data that we may receive from you but it is not classified as Personal Information because it cannot be used to identify or contact you. This includes two types of content: User Generated Content and System Generated Data.



User Generated Content

User Generated Content is a type of Non-Personal Information that you voluntarily send and share with Post*factua!ly. It may include a postcard lie, a humorous misquote, a new myth or a debunked fact that you submit to Post*factua!ly, either via a digital (email or online contact form) or physical (mail) means. This User Generated Content does not personally identify you, unless you actively identify yourself through the content. For instance, you may want to share an image of yourself as part of the User Generated Content without disclosing any Personal Information. Since much of the Post*factua!ly website is focused on User Generated Content from postcard lies  Post*factua!ly recommends anonymous submission, but does not require it. Thus, your reasonable discretion is advised.



System Generated Data

System Generated Data is a type of Non-Personal Information. It may be automatically collected as you browse and use certain pages and elements of the Post*factua!ly website. We use this data exclusively to compile statistics about the general Post*factua!ly audience, their use of the Post*factua!ly website, and to help improve our content and services. This Non-Personal Information includes number of visitors to the Post*factua!ly website, web browser type, network type, date and time of the visit, length of time on the Post*factua!ly website, pages visited, language and country of origin. For instance, when you submit any User Generated Content you agree to allow Post*factua!ly to share that content via the Post*factua!ly website and related media properties. This will allow other users to see and share your User Generated Content. Any User Content you send to Post*factua!ly will also be available to other users, and via Post*factua!ly media properties, such as social media and RSS feeds.



Sharing Data With Third Parties

Post*factua!ly does not sell, rent, give or share any information it collects with any third parties. Post*factua!ly does not use any information to provide you with targeted advertising.




Post*factua!ly may store certain information from your web browser using “cookies." A cookie is a piece of data stored on a user’s computer tied to information about the user. Post*factua!ly does not configure or control the type and persistence of these cookies. You can remove or block cookies by visiting the settings section in your web browser.



Hyperlinks to Third Party Websites

This Privacy Policy applies only to Personal Information and Non-Personal Information collected via the Post*factua!ly website and related media properties. The Post*factua!ly website contains hyperlinks to third party websites that are not operated by Post*factua!ly. These hyperlinks are provided for your entertainment, reference and convenience only. Post*factua!ly does not provide any endorsement of any activities, with regard to collection and sharing of Personal Information or any other practices, undertaken by the operators of any website or service to which Post*factua!ly offers a hyperlink. Personal Data from Children under 13 Years of Age

Post*factua!ly is a collective art project directed at an adult audience, over the age of 18 years. Post*factua!ly is not aimed to or intended to be used by children under 13 years of age (or under 18 for that matter). Post*factua!ly does not knowingly collect or use any Personal Information or Non-Personal Information from children under 13. In the event that Post*factua!ly discovers having collected any information from a child under 13 years of age without verification of parental consent, Post*factua!ly will promptly delete that information.
